Even as I’m typing this, Honda has shepherded all it’s Indian dealers into a pre-launch dealer orientation session for the impending launch of the 2011 Honda CBR250R. As this event happens just before product launches to brief the dealers on everything that they need to know about a product, one can safely conclude that the 2011 CBR250R’s launch is just around the corner.
Apart from this, a dealer has been kind enough to give us a little titbit on how much the price of the base variant of the CBR250R will be in Karnataka, India. The 2011 Honda CBR250R will sell for INR 1.7 Lakhs, for the non-abs version in Karnataka and this should be the biggest takeaway for the day if you’re a prospective 2011 CBR250R owner.
We also seem to have a big bummer coming from Honda’s side. Each dealer will get only 15 units of the 2011 Honda CBR250R from every lot, which means that waiting periods could very well rival that of the Honda Activa. So, expect a waiting period in the whereabouts of a couple of months at least, which could easily stretch to six considering Honda’s terrible record of very long waiting periods. We just hope hat Honda manages to sort this thing out as there is no big pain that to wait endlessly for a motorcycle that deserves to be enjoyed on the open road.
