Bridgestone has brought their performance packed MotoGP motorcycle tire advancements to the streets in the form of the Battlax BT016.
Bridgestone has constructed the Battlax BT016 tire with Mono Spiral Belt (MSB) technology.
The MSB construction is a continuous single strand wrapped around the circumference of the tire, which eliminates overlapping of the belts, seams and joints. What does all this mean? Your motorcycle will be more stable due to less internal heat generation with improved bump absorption.
Bridgestone has focused on all details of the Battlax BT016 including the tread.
The BT016 features L shaped grooves that enhance bump absorption and rear-end steering. Bridgestone also made sure the grooves do not cross to increase high speed durability.
The Battlax BT016 uses HTSPC (High Tensile Super Penetrated Cord), which is a first for a radial motorcycle tire. This technology allows the tire to be more flexible, provides more stability without reduction in bump absorption, and minimizes the generation of heat throughout the tire.
The Bridgestone Battlax BT016 boasts a 5LC triple compound design that provides ideal grip performance that is demanded for all riding styles. The center compound provides good stability. The shoulder compound transfers engine power to the road with strong traction. The edge compound offers strong side grip and solid contact feel at deep lean angles.
