Cockroaches can fight Superbugs (MRSA)

God is great!!!,,,,,,,,,,,,

Cockroaches are often regarded as a disgusting animal, because it is identical to the places where dirty and unhygienic, you now need to give thanks to these ridiculous animals. Because according to new research cockroaches can fight superbugs such as MRSA and Escherichia coli (E. coli).

Based on research from the University Nortingham Simon Lee, UK, cockroaches and grasshoppers contain a powerful antibiotic molecule in their brain that can be used to develop new treatments against Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) and E. Coli.

In many countries MRSA (bacteria resistant to antibiotic drugs) has become a problem. MRSA caused 50 percent of all infections acquired from hospitals in the United States. In some European countries, on average 20,000 people die each year and about 10 percent of them had MRSA.

In research on cockroaches and locusts, scientists have identified up to nine different molecules and has the potential to be toxic to these super bacteria. The researchers also hope will pave the way for new treatments for a variety of drug resistant bacterial infections.

Based on the study to, brain tissue and nervous system of this insect can kill more than 90% of MRSA and E.coli bacteria, without harming human cells. Simon Lee, who will present his work at the meeting of the Association of Public Institution for Microbiology in Nottingham, said: "We hope that these molecules could eventually be developed into treatments for E. coli and MRSA infections are increasingly resistant to current drugs."

"The results of this study is also a potential new antibiotics could provide an alternative to drugs currently available and quite effective but have serious side effects and undesirable," said Lee.

Increased resistance to antibiotics due to the use of an inappropriate and self-medication, patient adherence, such as discontinuation of treatment, hygiene management is not enough, and do not follow proven practices.
